Coaching Mentor Program

On behalf of the Board for the Okanagan Mission Youth Soccer Club, our thanks to the 50 plus coaches that have registered for clinics this month. This will certainly help our Club provide better skills and teamwork for our kids and will give you the satisfaction of learning new skills.

Next up, we want to advise everyone that we have a new volunteer position this year --Coaching Mentor-- we have a well known coach, referee and player who is willing to go to your team's practice and work with you to ensure the players are motivated. The mentorship is less about teaching you soccer skills and more about teaching you coaching skills. This is ideal for coaches who either feel unsure of how to run practices; or want some tips on how to keep top players growing while bringing average players along in their development; or just to teach a few new tips for game strategy.

Our coaching mentor is Bob Dachwitz. Bob is available to work with a limited number of teams since he will take the time to go to your practice. He can be contacted via email at rdachwitz@shaw.ca

Please feel free to contact Bob direct and organize this for your team. We hope that those coaches who want to raise their game will feel free to contact Bob and he will let you know what works for his schedule.

Our sincere thanks to Bob for this.
